PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Learning, Engagement and Development Specialist is part of a team responsible for designing, implementing, reviewing and maintaining the regional learning and development program. This includes content development, strategies, evaluation and maintenance, and design, build support and maintenance of learning platforms, and regional support for new workflows, projects and initiatives.

The Learning, Engagement and Development Specialist also provides regional communications tactics support, including content development, design and maintenance for internal, partner organization and community publications, and survey development and analysis for internal and external surveys.


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, evaluate and maintain regional learning and development materials:
  • Develops role‐based training content, independently using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications such as Microsoft Office, Articulate, Canva, Udemy
  • Maintains, evaluates and updates instructional materials) based on system and workflow updates, new features and upgrades
  • Works as part of a team to design, develop, implement and maintain electronic learning and development systems
  • Regularly collaborates with appropriate systems analysts/workstream managers to incorporate feedback, validates workflows to develop and update training materials.
  • Regular curriculum and training product review /evaluation and updating
  • Identify and develop learning paths for Regional Operations Team members
  • Learning and development support for regional projects / initiatives
  • Liaises with Oracle Health to understand learning and development requirements for new workflows, features and upgrades.

Design, develop and maintain electronic training platforms:
  • Assists with building and testing training environments
  • Development and maintenance of content and usability of TRAIN Domain
  • Design, build and maintenance of content for electronic central repositories for shared learning materials (Wiki, eCoach)
  • Maintain and optimize use of tools to create learning and development materials and learning paths (Articulate, Udemy, Canva, Microsoft Office, etc)

Communications Coordination:
  • Content development, design and maintenance for internal, partner organization and community publications (websites, social media, newsletters, presentations, marketing materials, etc.)
  • Survey development and analysis for internal and external surveys

Training Support:
  • Provides training support to partner organizations (Train the Trainer, special training requests)
  • Training support for educational institution training
  • Provides training as required for regional operations team
  • Gathers feedback to continuously improve training materials and programs

Education and Learning:
  • Maintains working knowledge of their application, workflows and common issues faced by end-users. Learns new content and consults with subject matter experts to develop training materials and answer any participant questions; Stays updated with industry best-practices and learning methodologies

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Any Undergraduate Degree, Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Adult Education, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional), preferred
  • 3+ years of training experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical/ancillary workflows as well as policy and procedures is beneficial
  • Prior training experience and expertise
  • The ability to learn new content and leverage that knowledge to develop strong training programs
  • Ability to develop and deliver formal presentations. This includes consistently and clearly presenting scripted training materials to large groups, and to conduct engaging and effective training sessions to diverse audiences and handling questions from the audience
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to trainers and trainees when speaking and in writing. This includes targeting the amount, style, and content of the information to the needs of the receiver
  • Ability to adapt and pivot to challenging virtual and in person classroom situations & personalities
  • Excellent prioritization, organizational, and people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with little direct supervision and taking ownership of work activities and ensuring training sessions and supporting materials meet standards
  • Experience with learning management systems, instructional design software, and other technology tools that are used to develop and deliver training programs or improvement initiatives within your respective unit or departments (i.e. Articulate 360 or Captivate preferred)
  • Working knowledge of common MS-Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
