This role provides day-to-day accounting support across our subsidiary brands, assisting with journal entries, reconciliations, and payroll-adjacent tasks while working within tight month, quarter, and year-end timelines. This role collaborates closely with the broader Finance team, requiring strong organizational skills and a customer-service mindset to be successful in a fast-paced, changing environment.<br><br><strong><strong>This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum one day per week in office at our Toronto Headquarters Location; the specific day and time will be determined with the hiring manager.<br><br></strong></strong><strong>What You'll Do<br><br></strong><strong><strong>Client Billing & Invoicing<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li> Post HSA invoices to Sterling platform and NetSuite</li><li> Prepare manual invoices and manual adjustments</li><li> Review invoices prior to distribution</li><li> Process PAD (pre-authorized debit) runs, twice monthly</li><li> Manage PAD exceptions</li><li> Complete invoice approvals at the start of each month</li><li> Send client invoice reminders and follow up on outstanding payments<br><br></li></ul><strong><strong>Client & Account Support<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li> Respond to client queries and communications</li><li> Conduct rate reviews</li><li> Process bridge coverage requests</li><li> Complete new group uploads</li><li> Process client terminations</li><li> Follow up on failed, expired, or declined payments<br><br></li></ul><strong><strong>Office & Compliance<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li> Deposit cheques, scan incoming mail, and maintain filing</li><li> Commission statement download, scan and filing</li><li> Support audit requests and documentation</li><li> Other tasks as required<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> University degree required; a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management is preferred</li><li> 2+ years of experience working in a mid-sized Finance environment</li><li> Some experience with payroll is preferred</li><li> 2+ years of experience booking journal entries; NetSuite experience is considered an asset</li><li> Demonstrated ability to work within tight timelines for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close</li><li> Proven ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment</li><li> Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills<br><br></li></ul><strong>Pay Range & Compensation Package<br><br></strong><ul><li> $40,000 - $60,000 (CAD) base salary</li><li> Comprehensive health and wellness benefits</li><li> Opportunities to grow with a high-performing, technology-enabled organization</li></ul>
