Internship, Junior Graphic Design

***This internship is for CURRENT STUDENTS only who are required by their program to do an internship

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in design sessions and contribute through creative concepts and input.
  • Be involved in the conceptualization and design of graphic applications from concept to completion.
  • Create designs that are consistent with Absolute XM’s brand as well as our clients’ brand guidelines. Be accountable for brand consistency across campaigns and assets.
  • Be detailed in your organization of projects. This includes management of project briefs, awareness of project specs, deadlines, files, etc.
  • Develop graphic elements pertaining to XM strategy proposals and company sales materials.
  • Produce graphic materials related to the clients’ concepts as well as event-based collateral and supporting articles.
  • Generate scaled renderings of campaign concepts using the program SketchUp or a program of similar nature.
  • Balance and manage own workload according to the established business priorities and timelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must currently be enrolled in a design program
  • A portfolio of illustrations and/or other graphics
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) as well as SketchUp or other similar software
  • Knowledge of digital design processes and best practices, including image optimization and responsive design
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects and operate in a fast-paced work environment
  • Open-minded and able to use constructive feedback

Throughout this internship, the student will:

  • Have the opportunity to work alongside Event Management and Marketing industry professionals
  • Gain practical experience with the creation and development of various illustrations styles
  • Strengthen organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Have the ability to work with tier-one brands

Job Type: Internship

Internship Honorarium: $750.00 per month, based on Monday to Friday In-Office Work, 9am – 5pm.
