Intermediate Designer

<p>Studio Paolo Ferrari is seeking an Intermediate Designer to support the design, and delivery of hospitality, retail, residential, and luxury interior design projects.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Concept development, space planning, and material direction.</li> <li>Prepare presentation packages, design boards, renderings, and visual storytelling.</li> <li>Produce and coordinate drawing sets.</li> <li>Manage FF&E research, specifications, and tagging.</li> <li>Prepare and coordinate documentation for tender, permit, fabrication, and construction packages.</li> <li>Evaluate and curate material selections with consideration for design intent, performance, and budget.</li> <li>Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants and vendors, and participate in coordination meetings</li> <li>Review and contribute to technical drawing submissions.</li> <li>Guide junior team members, support their work and contribute to team efficiency.</li> </ul> <p>The role will be performed in English.</p> <p><strong>Required Experience and Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3 to 5 years of interior design or architectural experience in hospitality or luxury interior environments.</li> <li>Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).</li> <li>Advanced experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).Technical ability in Rhino and/or Revit.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience designing hospitality, retail, residential or other high end interior environments.</li> <li>Experience preparing comprehensive drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules and specifications.</li> <li>Experience with FF&E selection, specification development, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of construction methods, fabrication processes, and project delivery within hospitality and luxury design projects.</li> <li>Experience participating in all phases of the design process, from concept development through construction administration.</li> <li>Professional certification an asset.</li> </ul> <p>This is a full-time (40-hours per week), permanent position at our office located at 300 Campbell Avenue, Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario, M6P 3V6.</p> <p>The annual salary range for this position is CAD$75,000 to CAD$82,000, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be eligible to participate in the company’s benefits program, including extended health & dental coverage, life and AD&D insurance, and long-term disability.
