About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Industrial Engineer with a focus on Facility Design to join their team in Markham, Ontario . This role is essential for planning and optimizing the layout and functionality of our client's facilities to ensure maximum operational efficiency, safety, and material flow. You will work on projects from conceptualization through to implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create state-of-the-art operational spaces. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the physical infrastructure that drives our client's business success.

Key Responsibilities Design and redesign facility layouts to optimize material flow, equipment placement, and workspace utilization. Conduct site selection analysis and feasibility studies for new facility development or expansion. Develop process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and operational requirements for new facilities. Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and operations teams throughout the design and construction phases. Implement Lean principles and ergonomic considerations into facility designs to enhance safety and efficiency. Evaluate and select appropriate material handling equipment and systems for optimized operations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in facility design , layout planning, or industrial engineering. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and their application to facility design. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for layout development. Experience with simulation software for analyzing material flow and operational efficiency.
