Industrial Engineer - Continuous Improvement

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Engineer focused on Continuous Improvement to join their team in Markham, Ontario . This role is crucial for identifying and implementing enhancements across production and operational processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate quality. You will leverage your expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and other industrial engineering methodologies to lead improvement initiatives and foster a culture of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Analyze existing production and operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for enhancement. Develop and implement optimized layouts, material flow systems, and work procedures. Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and ergonomic assessments to improve operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with production teams, management, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and adoption. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure the impact of improvements in Markham . Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a strong focus on continuous improvement in manufacturing or operations. Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, VSM). Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis required. Proficiency in process mapping software, simulation tools, and MS Office Suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to lead change initiatives.
