About Metabolite Clinic

Metabolite Clinic is a rapidly growing, fully virtual specialty clinic serving patients across Ontario and British Columbia. Our physicians provide care in obesity and metabolic health, diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, women’s health including hormone replacement therapy, and men’s health including testosterone replacement therapy.

Physician consultations are covered by OHIP in Ontario and MSP in British Columbia, with a clinic target of scheduling new consultations within 72 hours of receiving a referral.

We are looking for a motivated and personable Physician Liaison to help us build strong relationships with family physicians, nurse practitioners, specialist, medical clinics and other healthcare organizations while expanding access to obesity and metabolic care.

The Role

This is an outreach- and growth-focused position. You will introduce clinics to Metabolite Clinic, explain our services and referral process, and develop long-term relationships with referring providers.

You will be responsible for:

• Introducing clinics to Metabolite Clinic’s services and referral process
• Scheduling meetings, presentations and lunch-and-learns
• Following up consistently with new and existing clinic contacts
• Attending selected medical conferences and networking events
• Tracking referral activity and identifying which relationships are generating results
• Working closely with the clinic leadership team on growth initiatives
• Reviewing and approving content created with our marketing partners
• Identifying and coordinating conference and sponsorship opportunities
• Monitoring clinic metrics and preparing monthly reports

Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is confident speaking with physicians, clinic managers and medical office staff. You should be professional, persistent and comfortable developing new relationships through phone calls, email and in-person outreach.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an asset:

• Healthcare business development
• Physician or clinic outreach
• Medical device or pharmaceutical sales
• Physician liaison or provider relations roles
• Medical clinic operations
• Healthcare partnerships
• Community outreach

You should have:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent relationship-building abilities
• Confidence making outbound calls and introducing new services
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• The ability to work independently and manage outreach targets
• A results-oriented mindset, with an understanding that success will be measured through new clinic relationships and referral growth
• A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for occasional clinic visits

Success in This Role

Success in this role will include:

• Developing relationships with new physician and nurse practitioner clinics
• Increasing the number of active referring clinics
• Generating measurable referral growth
• Completing consistent weekly outreach and follow-up
• Arranging meetings and educational presentations with healthcare providers
• Building a reliable referral network across Ontario and British Columbia, as well as additional provinces as Metabolite continues to grow
