The Health Promoter collaborates with partners across multiple system levels to create supportive social, economic, and physical environments that protect and promote health. The Health Promoter champions effective health promotion and fosters cooperation, collaboration, and coordination with and between partners.<br><br><strong>About You<br><br></strong>We would love to hear from you if you have the following:<br><br><ul><li> Bachelor of Health Promotion (or equivalent degree) and 3 years of relevant experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the employer </li><li> Experience in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion programs, policies, services, and initiatives </li><li> Experience in effectively developing and working in partnerships </li><li> Experience in facilitating public participation and appropriate levels of community </li><li> Demonstrated proficiency in the Core Competencies for Public Health and LEADS </li><li> Understanding of a population based approach </li><li> Demonstrates success in building strategic partnerships, networks, coalitions, and collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners to support Public Health work </li><li> Demonstrated team-building skills. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary setting with a strong focus on citizen/community </li><li> Demonstrated understanding of the influence of the social determinants of health and health equity on population health </li><li> Experience with or knowledge of supportive resources such as health impact assessments </li><li> Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred <br><br></li></ul>Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certification.<br><br><strong><strong>Hours<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li> Permanent full-time position; 70 hours biweekly </li><li> Travel to other sites or throughout the province required.
