Overview

The Growth Marketing Specialist will play a critical role in driving CJAM's own client pipeline by owning marketing strategy, funnel building, content, and email systems. This role will evolve over time, with new responsibilities added as the candidate becomes integrated into the team.

The ideal candidate will be strategic, self-driven, and proactive, with a strong grasp of how to turn attention into leads and leads into relationships.

Job Objectives

Immediate Responsibilities

Strategy & Funnels

  • Develop and refine strategy across the marketing channels CJAM runs, and build out funnels to convert attention into leads. This role requires you to have a solid understanding of marketing strategy and execution.
    Work directly with Bee to align channel strategy with business priorities.

Content

  • Think through and help plan social content, then edit and prepare it for the team to post. Channels include Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram.

  • Interview Bee (live or via recorded transcript) and turn those conversations into content across formats.

Email Marketing

  • Manage the email newsletter end to end. Interviewing Bee for content, using transcripts to write up emails and scheduling and sending via ActiveCampaign. Can use web developer as well for support to upload into active campaign.

Automation & AI

  • Use AI tools and build automations (e.g. with Zapier) to streamline content creation, repurposing, and marketing workflows.

Paid Ads (Asset, Not Required)

  • Support or run paid ad campaigns as needed. Paid ads experience is a strong asset but not a requirement.

Responsibilities After Initial Onboarding (30 Days)

Reporting & Optimization

  • Track performance across channels and funnels, and bring data-informed recommendations back to Bee.

  • Continuously test and improve content, funnels, and email performance.

Systems & Process

  • Help document and improve marketing SOPs as workflows are established.

  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive marketing tasks.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience owning marketing strategy and execution, ideally in an agency, startup, or fast-moving small business environment.

  • Strong content instincts, able to spot what will resonate on social and in email, and shape raw material (like interviews) into finished content.

  • Comfortable using AI tools day to day and building automations (Zapier or similar) to save time.

  • Working knowledge of ActiveCampaign or a similar email marketing platform.

  • Familiarity with ClickUp (or similar project management tools), Google Workspace, and Slack.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn performance data into clear next steps.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • Paid ads experience is a plus but not required.

  • Must work in P.S.T Timezone

Deliverables and Key Outcomes

Success in this role will be measured by the candidate's ability to:

  • Build and improve funnels that convert leads for CJAM.

  • Produce consistent, high-quality social and newsletter content.

  • Turn Bee's interviews/transcripts into usable content on an ongoing basis.

  • Introduce automations that reduce manual marketing work.

Compensation & Structure

  • $1500 - $3000 CAD/month, Full-time or Part time based on location and experience.

  • Bonuses also available based on performance. 5-10% of business brought in.

  • Reports directly to Bee.
