Role Description The Graphic and UI/UX Design Intern role at Merge VIP is a full-time, on-site position based in Markham, ON. The intern supports the design team by creating graphics for digital campaigns, social media posts, presentations, and marketing materials.

Day-to-day tasks include assisting with UI/UX design for web and mobile interfaces, preparing assets, refining layouts, and ensuring consistent visual branding. The intern will participate in brainstorming sessions, gather design requirements, and help translate concepts into visually compelling and user-friendly designs. The role also involves basic image editing, organizing design files, and collaborating with marketing and social media staff to deliver cohesive content.

Qualifications

  • Ability to create and work with visual assets, including graphics and image editing, using common design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or similar).
  • Foundational graphic design skills, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Interest in social media and marketing, with the ability to design content tailored for digital and social channels.
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles, wireframing, and designing user-friendly interfaces for web or mobile applications.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Graphic Design, Digital Media, UI/UX, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to follow brand guidelines.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site in Markham, ON.
