We’re looking for a dependable General Labourer to join our production team for the season.</p> <p>What You’ll Do</p> <p>Hand-harvest vegetables and pick seedlings<br /> Grade fruits and vegetables by size, shape, colour, and volume to meet market standards<br /> Sort and pack fruits and vegetables for market<br /> Weed and maintain crop areas<br /> Clean greenhouses and general work areas<br /> Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment<br /> Inspect product for quality and market readiness<br /> Crops You’ll Work With</p> <p>Asparagus, carrots, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, other vegetables, and microgreens</p> <p>Equipment</p> <p>Experience with vegetable harvesters and hand tools is an asset.</p> <p>What We’re Looking For</p> <p>1 to 2 years of relevant experience<br /> English language ability<br /> No formal degree/diploma required<br /> Valid driver’s licence and own transportation required — public transit is not available at this location<br /> Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including wet, hot, and cold/refrigerated environments<br /> Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks<br /> Able to bend, crouch, and kneel regularly<br /> Able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)<br /> Must supply own steel-toed safety boots<br /> Personal Qualities We Value</p> <p>Reliability, flexibility, good judgment, strong organizational skills, efficient interpersonal skills, a team-player attitude, strong values and work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This is a hands-on, outdoor role at a rural, remote worksite involved in organic farming and vegetable/melon production (excluding potatoes).
