<p><strong>Financial Crime, AML & KYC Analyst</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position:</strong> Financial Crime, AML & KYC Analyst</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Type:</strong> <strong>Freelance Hourly Contract</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> <strong>$75–$100/hour</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> <strong>Remote (United States)</strong></p><p>About the Opportunity</p><p>This opportunity is for experienced <strong>Financial Crime, AML, KYC, and Compliance professionals</strong> interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects focused on financial crime detection, customer due diligence, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.</p><p>The role involves completing realistic case exercises, reviewing financial crime scenarios, and evaluating AI-generated outputs that reflect real-world AML, KYC, fraud, and compliance workflows.</p><p>You'll apply your expertise in financial crime investigations, onboarding reviews, sanctions compliance, transaction surveillance, and regulatory reporting to help improve the capabilities of next-generation AI systems.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Review and adjudicate <strong>transaction monitoring alerts</strong> using customer profiles, transaction histories, and supporting documentation.</li><li>Draft <strong>SAR narratives</strong> and document investigation outcomes where appropriate.</li><li>Evaluate <strong>KYC/CDD onboarding packets</strong> for completeness, inconsistencies, and remediation requirements.</li><li>Analyze <strong>beneficial ownership structures</strong> and apply UBO ownership thresholds.</li><li>Review and assess <strong>sanctions screening and adverse media alerts</strong>, determining whether cases should be cleared, escalated, or investigated further.</li><li>Evaluate fraud, dispute, and transaction-surveillance scenarios and provide clear, defensible reasoning.</li><li>Assess AI-generated financial crime analysis outputs and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.</li></ul><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li><strong>3+ years of experience</strong> in AML, Financial Crime, KYC/CDD, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Compliance, Fraud Investigations, or related areas.</li><li>Experience working within banks, fintech companies, payment providers, money service businesses (MSBs), or similar financial institutions.</li><li>Strong knowledge of <strong>FinCEN, FATF, OFAC, AML, KYC, CDD, and SAR documentation requirements</strong>.</li><li>Ability to produce clear, accurate, and defensible written investigative findings.</li><li>Strong written and verbal English communication skills.</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li><strong>CAMS (ACAMS), CFE, or similar compliance certifications.</strong></li><li>Experience with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and complex entity ownership investigations.</li><li>Familiarity with SQL, transaction analytics, or financial crime technology platforms.</li><li>Experience in fintech, payments, digital banking, or high-growth financial services environments.</li><li>Prior experience evaluating AI-generated compliance or risk-analysis content.</li></ul><p>Compensation</p><ul><li><strong>Competitive compensation of $75–$100/hour.</strong></li><li><strong>Weekly payments.</strong></li><li><strong>Independent contractor engagement.</strong></li></ul><p>Application Process</p><ol><li><strong>Submit Your Application</strong></li><li><strong>Complete a Financial Crime Assessment</strong></li><li><strong>Participate in Review & Evaluation Process</strong></li><li><strong>Begin Project Onboarding Upon Selection</strong></li></ol>
