As an Assistant Foreman, you will be responsible for safely leading a field team of ~20 people to effectively and efficiently manage operating and capital costs while maximizing current production of 32,000 Boe/dwhile supporting significant multi-year area development. You will be in a pivotal position to deliver on regulatory requirements and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. - Job location: Wembley, Alberta – Grande Prairie District - Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts - Safety sensitive position: Yes - Application deadline: August 25, 2026 Key Accountabilities - Provide leadership, knowledge and direction to field staff towards Canadian Natural's Safety Management Systems - Maximize safe well production and facility throughput by working closely with the Production Foreman, Maintenance Foreman, SCC Coordinator, Technical and Administration Teams to maintain runtime performance of > 97% from wellhead to sales - Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets while maintaining cost control for your area - Provide leadership and supervision to field staff through on-site work planning and day-to-day direction while managing staff performance, spending >60% of time in the field - Maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders What You Bring To The Role - 10+ years of field experience in an operational, maintenance or technical role - A Production Field Operations Certificate is required - Working knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations - Proven team leadership experience in a supervisory or mentorship capacity with strong communication skills (proven project management skills in planning, preparations and execution) - Graduate with Engineering Degree, Technology Diploma or Journeyman certification is preferred - Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification preferred - Knowledge of the fundamentals of oil and gas economics What We Offer - Competitive salary, stock options, company matched stock savings plan, annual bonuses - May be eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Policy - 100% Employer paid extended Health, Dental and Vision Benefits - Health & Wellness Spending Account - Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community - Employee & Family Assistance Program - Access to online learning platforms for continuous learning and development - Paid vacation and time off during Christmas week and summer Fridays Check out our COMPENSATION & BENEFITS to learn more about what we have to offer About Us We are proud to be ranked as one of Forbes' Canada's Best Employers in 2025 and 2026.
