Family Assistant #1937

Summary

Are you a flexible individual who enjoys working with children and assisting in household duties? If so, this position might be perfect for you! A vibrant family in Stouffville, Ontario, with 2 children (2 months and 3 years old) and a dog, is in search of a dedicated Family Assistant. Note that the family will relocate to Uxbridge in October 2024.

This role is available as either a full-time or part-time opportunity. The successful candidate will take proactive ownership of various household tasks to maintain a clean and orderly home environment and assist with meal preparation.

Responsibilities include
  • Preparing ingredients for meals, such as chopping vegetables.
  • Occasionally cooking straightforward meals from provided recipes.
  • Organizing and maintaining the cleanliness of the pantry, refrigerator, and storage areas.
  • General housekeeping to ensure the home remains neat and well-ordered.
  • Laundry duties, including washing and folding clothes, towels, and linens.
  • Making beds and managing household waste and recycling.
  • Assisting with childcare and providing occasional babysitting services.
  • Running errands, including grocery shopping.
  • Responding to general requests and tasks as needed.

Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years similar work experience.
  • Must enjoy helping in many different capacities.
  • Have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Can work under minimal direction, must take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Always keep a professional, positive attitude and be discreet.

Additional Information
  • Full time or Part time.
  • Permanent employment
  • Working days: Monday to Friday.
  • Working hours: Flexible, to be determined.
  • House car available for work duties, if needed.
  • Live out.
  • Three (3) weeks' vacation.
