Job Description:

  • Serve the Quebec territory as an External Insurance Wholesaler
  • Proactively handle relationships with key advisors and intermediaries
  • Assist with resolving problems involving intermediaries and individuals within the region
  • Identify opportunities and activities to generate profitable business growth
  • Develop and execute regular business development plans
  • Conduct sales meetings and seminars
  • Develop and implement strategies providing consultants with marketing support and new sales ideas and concepts
  • Maintain agreed-upon face-to-face contact levels with regional advisors
  • Record daily activities using the current contact management system
  • Represent and promote Manulife in the local financial community
  • Develop strong business relationships with advisors and industry associations
  • Perform front-line business risk management through awareness, support, and implementation of compliance and company policies with advisors
  • Supervise sales-related activities

Requirements:

  • Previous industry sales experience
  • University Degree or equivalent industry education
  • Knowledge and expertise in personal and corporate taxation and financial planning
  • Attained or working on relevant professional designations (CLU, CFP, and CH.F.C.)
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Fully bilingual in French and English
  • Knowledge of regulatory issues impacting the sale of life insurance
  • Expert knowledge of Manulife individual insurance products
  • Strong knowledge of marketing concepts and product application
  • Strong knowledge of competitive positioning
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop, organize, and deliver proposals, business cases, and estate analysis
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
