Current Opportunity:

We are on the lookout for empathetic, skilled, and individual counsellors who will be instrumental in enriching our community services in Ontario. While we are based in Ontario, we appreciate the diverse experience and encourage those who hold membership in good standing with their respective social work regulatory bodies across Canada to apply.

The ideal candidate will be a beacon of guidance and support, adept at managing a consistent client caseload ranging from five to twenty hours per week across two to five days. We are specifically looking for a therapist who could see clients in person on weekends and/or evenings. Evening shifts would be anytime between 5pm to 9pm while weekends can be flexible between 10am and 6pm.

Transformation

Counselling will provide clients, scheduling assistance, system support, and charting services. Billing operations are seamlessly managed by our dedicated staff, allowing you to focus on what you do best – helping your clients achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

· Develop a robust client base through clinic referrals;

· Deliver effective clinical counselling and treatment to individuals, and facilitate family interventions as needed;

· Meticulously document clinical notes and progress for each session;

· Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and establish the required clinical intervention level;

· Craft elements of treatment plans employing appropriate therapeutic models;

· Offer case management support, coordinating multiple service avenues when necessary;

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the counselling profession, best practices, and ethical standards;

· Engage in periodic strategic meetings with the management team to discuss clinical practices and client progress.

Qualifications:

· Current good standing with a recognized social work or counselling college;

· Experienced clinician with 1+ years of licensed experience;

· Possession of Current Professional Liability Insurance, or willingness to acquire it before starting;

· Exceptional organizational and communication skills;

· Commitment to client confidentiality as per PHIPA regulations;

· Proactive engagement and high-quality customer service in responding to new client inquiries;

· Proficient in establishing trust and rapport with a diverse clientele;

· Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention and problem-solving.

Preferred Assets:

Experience with various evidence-based psychotherapy models such as CBT, ACT, EMDR, DBT, EFT, Gottman, etc.

Remuneration and Benefits:

· Starting from $70.00 to $120 per hour

Education:

· Master’s Degree in a psychotherapy/social work/counselling (required), unless currently in progress
