Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver dynamic lessons that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and respectful dialogue
  • Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support growth
  • Incorporate proofreading, writing exercises, and literary analysis to enhance language proficiency
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best teaching practices
  • Support students with special education needs by adapting instructional strategies as necessary
  • Maintain organized records of attendance, grades, and student performance for ongoing evaluation

Experience

  • Proven classroom experience teaching high school English or related subjects
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability in proofreading, editing, and guiding students through writing assignments
  • Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for students requiring extra help
  • Knowledge of special education principles and inclusive teaching strategies is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage lesson plans, assessments, and student records effectively
