Together, we are EXP.<br><br>Are you ready to design your future?<br><br>Be our next Energy Engineer/Specialist!<br><br>Your work environment at EXP<br><br>In this role, you will be a part of the Energy & Sustainability team, of the buildings sector, based in Markham, Ontario office and have the opportunity to work on the energy, sustainability and commissioning projects in Canada.<br><br>What a day at EXP has in store for you<br>• Modeling building architecture and engineered Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems in selected Energy Modeling Software (technical knowledge of both simple and complex system modeling knowledge required).<br>• Conducting ASHRAE Energy audits and analyzing Energy and Water Conservation Measures for feasibility studies and to inform design decisions for buildings and sites.<br>• Conducting utility analysis to determine utility rates, and regression analysis to understand energy consumption history in relation to cooling/heating degree days.<br>• Authoring narratives and reports for clients outlining measures to improve energy and water efficiencies for projects.<br>• Reviewing Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil and Landscape drawings, and BAS sequence of operation/screen shots to understand building system details.<br>• Full documentation of the energy model for building permit applications, CaGBC Zero Carbon Building Standard, LEED Energy and Atmosphere Minimum Energy Performance prerequisite and Optimize Energy Performance Credit.<br>• Determining renewable energy system sizing based on results from the energy model.<br>• Occasionally review of energy models developed by external parties as part of compliance review on P3 projects.<br>• Undertake commissioning or retro-commissioning projects and lead/support performance testing, writing field reports, developing commissioning plans and checklists.Support construction administration activities when required, including conducting field reviews and writing deficiency reports.<br><br>What your experience looks like<br>• 5+ years previous experience in energy auditing, energy modelling, commissioning and/or sustainability consulting.<br>• Knowledge of building system operations, sequences and building automation system (BAS).<br>• Knowledge of RETScreen Expert and energy modeling software, including, at minimum, IES Virtual Environment (5 + years), and eQuest.<br>• Experience with developing energy savings calculations and methods, outside of energy model and software, are considered an asset.<br>• P.Eng is preferred.CEM (Certified Energy Manager), CMVP (Certified Measurement and Verification Professional), CBCP (Certified Building Commissioning Professional), and/or LEED BD+C are assets.<br><br>EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
