Electrician/Apprentice

Role Overview The Electrician / Apprentice supports the responsible use of natural resources by installing and maintaining electrical systems that enable renewable energy generation and efficient energy use. This role contributes to reducing dependence on non-renewable resources by supporting solar power systems, battery storage solutions, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Through safe installation practices, energy-efficient designs, and strict compliance with electrical standards, the position helps conserve natural resources, reduce energy waste, and support sustainable energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain residential electrical systems related to solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging
  • Assist with electrical rough-ins, panel upgrades, conduit installation, and equipment mounting
  • Perform work in compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures
  • Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of clean energy systems
  • Maintain job site safety and proper use of tools and PPE
  • Assist with documentation, inspections, and project close-out activities
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers
Qualifications
  • Registered Electrical Apprentice or Licensed Electrician (309A preferred)
  • Interest in renewable energy and clean-technology projects
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and installation manuals
  • Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn
  • Physically capable of working on residential job sites
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour
