Editorial Coordinator

<strong>Location:</strong> Canada or US<br><br><strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>The Editorial Coordinator is responsible for providing high-quality, proactive management of databases, processes and libraries across a range of client deliverables and accounts.<br><br><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ensuring that quality control and compliance with industry and client standards is paramount across all materials produced by OPEN Health</li><li>Providing day-to-day editorial support, including database management; permissions, submissions, reference and copyright management; library maintenance and management</li><li>Providing accurate and timely database management and support for account teams (Datavision, iEnvision, Veeva, FUSE), interacting directly with clients where required</li><li>Contributing to ideas, concepts, or suggestions to provide added value to the internal and client teams across accounts</li><li>Collaborating with Editors and learning tasks outside of job role that augment Editorial Services bandwidth, such as page proofs and fact checking</li><li>Collaborating with appropriate members of the OPEN Health team (medical & scientific, client and creative services) on a wide range of projects</li><li>Contributing to discussions on the development and maintenance of internal editorial processes and database management guidelines</li><li>Championing editorial processes and acting as a source of information on these processes for colleagues, such as booking and briefing of work, and estimated timelines/budgets for all job types</li><li>Identifying unmet training needs, contributing to the development and delivery of training to the wider editorial and writing teams</li><li>Coaching/mentoring junior team members, including learning how to review junior colleagues’ work</li><li>Developing and maintaining an understanding of the various client brands and therapy areas</li><li>Keeping abreast of all relevant industry guidelines</li><li>Participating in internal status meetings, and external meetings where required</li><li>Flagging potential time or budget issues and out of scope work as required to line manager or another senior team member</li><li>Assisting Senior/Principal Editorial Coordinators with resource management and delegation as required</li><li>Submitting accurate and timely timesheets and expense records<br><br></li></ul><strong>Experience, Skills And Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Motivation, passion and dedication</li><li>Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; equivalent combination of professional experience and skills will be equally valued</li><li>Excellent attention to detail</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise and build relationships with multiple stakeholders</li><li>Great time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment</li><li>Competency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe</li><li>Proficient database competency (e.g. Datavision, iEnvision, Veeva)</li><li>Good understanding of the purpose/aims of healthcare marketing/communications</li><li>Substantial experience in a similar role<br><br></li></ul><strong>Travel Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>As required by business needs<br><br></li></ul><strong>About OPEN Health<br><br></strong>At OPEN Health, we connect visionary minds, pioneering science, and advanced technology to drive real impact.
