Role: Drupal Business Analyst

Work Model: Remote Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Drupal Business Analyst to bridge business requirements and technical implementation for enterprise digital experience initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Drupal CMS, digital transformation, content management, and business analysis, with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams to deliver scalable, user-centric digital solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, UX teams, architects, and development teams to define business requirements, optimize content workflows, support CMS modernization initiatives, and ensure successful delivery of enterprise Drupal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business goals, digital strategy, and content management requirements.

Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions to gather functional and non-functional requirements.

Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements to enhance digital user experiences and operational efficiency.

Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for Drupal development teams.

Facilitate requirement prioritization and backlog management with Product Owners and project stakeholders.

Drupal CMS & Digital Experience

Analyze and document Drupal content models, taxonomy structures, workflows, permissions, and publishing processes.

Define content architecture, governance standards, and metadata strategies.

Support Drupal 9/10/11 implementations, upgrades, and CMS modernization initiatives.

Work with technical architects to design scalable and maintainable Drupal solutions aligned with business objectives.

Validate solution designs to ensure compliance with business requirements and Drupal best practices.

Participate in content migration planning, information architecture, and digital transformation projects.

Solution Design & Collaboration

Act as the liaison between business users, UX designers, solution architects, developers, QA teams, and project managers.

Collaborate with architects to define integrations with enterprise systems using APIs and modern integration patterns.

Support solution reviews and ensure proposed solutions meet business, security, governance, and compliance requirements.

Assist in defining release scope, implementation roadmaps, and change management activities.

Agile Delivery

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Work closely with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to refine user stories and ensure development readiness.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate business functionality, and coordinate defect resolution.

Ensure delivered solutions align with business expectations and project objectives.

Stakeholder Management

Build strong relationships with business leaders and technical teams.

Facilitate workshops, presentations, and solution walkthroughs.

Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Provide guidance on Drupal capabilities, CMS best practices, and digital experience strategies.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Digital Consulting, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture.

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Drupal CMS platforms.

Strong understanding of Drupal architecture, content types, taxonomy, workflows, permissions, and governance.

Experience delivering enterprise CMS or Digital Experience Platform (DXP) implementations.

Proven experience in business requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional documentation, and use case development.

Experience supporting CMS modernization, migration, and digital transformation initiatives.

Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.

Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

Experience implementing or supporting Drupal 9, Drupal 10, or Drupal 11.

Understanding of Headless Drupal architecture.

Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and API integrations
