Learn more at Halifax is hiring part-time, on call Drivers to move, stage, and run vehicles through our auction lanes. A safe driving record, comfort behind the wheel, and a good attitude are the main requirements!<br><br>We offer a competitive pay ($17.00 - $19.50); continuous learning; an amazing culture; and so much more!<br><br>Schedule: Up to 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, on call.<br><br><strong>What You Will Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>Drive vehicles in accordance with auction safety protocols</li><li>Drive vehicles to/from designated areas on Auction premises and to/from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing Auction driving rules, following the rules of the road, and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles</li><li>Check all vehicle fluids before delivering to an offsite location</li><li>Complete electronic Pre & Post sale delivery inspection (walk around) of vehicle</li><li>Line up and park vehicles as directed by a supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and jump-start and locate “lost” vehicles</li><li>Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed. If necessary, inflate tires, fill fuel tanks, and jump-start vehicles. Notify a supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative.</li><li>Assist customers (i.e., dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed</li><li>Maintain lot (pick up trash, etc.)</li><li>Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Will Need<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record</li><li>Prior experience in an automotive auction or dealership an asset</li><li>Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions preferred</li><li>Ability to constantly enter and exit vehicles</li><li>Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, and stand, walk, and reach</li><li>Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb</li><li>Ability to lift 15 pounds</li><li>Ability to operate iPhone<br><br></li></ul><strong>Working Conditions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability and willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions</li><li>Exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock hazards, fumes, dust, and odors</li><li>Moderate noise level<br><br></li></ul><strong>What We Offer<br><br></strong><ul><li>Flexible working environment</li><li>Continuous Learning</li><li>And an amazing culture to top it all off!<br><br></li></ul>At E INC, in the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share our base pay as it is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay for this part-time position is $17.00 - $19.50, and this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
