We’re leaders in energy efficiency and we’re at the forefront of incorporating recycled and reused materials.<br><br>Job Duties<br><br>Safety<br>• Ensure all GFEI safety policies and procedures, as well as Provincial/Federal Acts are followed.<br>• Be cognizant of and adhere to any site specific safety requirements.<br>• Set up, operate and maintain drilling equipment<br>• Prepare and set up materials and drills as per work instructions for drilling purposes<br><br>Site Checks<br>• Perform routine site and system checks of Water and Vapour treatment systems.<br>• Ensure equipment operators are keeping equipment clean, lubricated and fueled and general site housekeeping is being maintained.<br>• Ensure safety fences/markings are all in place.<br>• Notify Superintendent of any required repair work to be done.<br><br>Various Other Tasks<br>• Liaise with the Project manager and Superintendent to ensure work is being carried out according to the scope of work and bid or client PO.<br>• Drive a crew truck to and from site as required.<br>• Mobilize drilling equipment to sites as required<br>• Operate equipment as required.<br><br>Chemical Handling<br>• Understand proper handling and transportation of chemicals<br>• Ensure crew members wear proper PPE associated with certain chemicals<br>• Able to operate and understand air monitoring devices<br>• Ensure the public is protected against any chemical exposure from chemical use on job sites<br><br>Operation of Drilling Equipment<br>• Operation of geo-tech and environmental drilling equipment<br>• Operate direct push drilling equipment for the purpose of giving the client quality and efficient results.<br>• Installation of monitoring wells in accordance with Reg 903<br>• Operate hand drilling equipment including jack hammer for the purpose of retrieving soil samples or installing injection wells. This work includes working in restricted areas such as residential basements and heavy lifting.<br><br>Regulations and Reporting<br>• Gain a solid understanding of the MECP regulations including Reg903<br>• Able to read and understand ECAs issued by the MECP for various remediation processes<br>• Ensure adequate record keeping is performed on job sites to satisfy requirement outlined in ECAs<br>• Licenses<br>• MECP Well Technician license is required<br>• DZ license an asset<br><br>We thank you for your interest.
