Dermatology Therapeutic Specialist – GTA East, Toronto
Job Description:
- Develop robust business plans to execute brand strategy and tactics in the field
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives
- Create pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations to improve sales performance
- Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns to close sales calls
- Support key stakeholders’ needs and build trusted customer relationships
- Execute call plans, optimize customer coverage, and maximize sales opportunities
- Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise
- Share market intelligence with the district manager and team to align and optimize brand strategy
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers
- Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates
- Develop high-quality territory and integrated account plans with in-field team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; Science or Commerce preferred
- Minimum 2 years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience in dermatology
- Direct territory experience across East Toronto, Scarborough, Pickering, and Kingston
- Physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience preferred
- Proven track record in sales and solid presentation skills
- Strong customer-style and behavior identification and adaptive selling ability
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
- Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools
- Strategic, critical-thinking, analytical, and business-judgment capabilities
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Ease with technology and various tools/systems
- Approximately 30% travel, including overnight travel, plus some evening/weekend work
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with in-field team members
- Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility
