Computer Vision Engineer

<p><strong>Canadian Executive Search Group is seeking Vision Specialist for one of our automation technology clients in Windsor, ON</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Schedule: Monday-Friday morning shift</strong></li><li><strong>Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour DOE + Benefits</strong></li><li><strong>Direct Hire</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Vision Application Specialist will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and commissioning of machine vision systems used in industrial automation applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing innovative vision solutions that meet customer requirements while supporting project execution from concept through installation.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Define machine vision performance requirements for customer applications.</p><p>Determine opto-mechanical, electrical, software, and interface requirements for vision systems.</p><p><strong>Design and develop turnkey machine vision solutions including:</strong></p><p><strong>Cameras</strong></p><p><strong>Lighting systems</strong></p><p><strong>Optics</strong></p><p><strong>Frame grabbers</strong></p><p><strong>Processing algorithms</strong></p><p><strong>Opto-mechanical fixtures</strong></p><p><strong>Material handling components</strong></p><p>Develop image processing applications and user interfaces using commercial software libraries.</p><p>Integrate, test, and validate vision systems during build, integration, and buyoff phases.</p><p>Participate in system assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization.</p><p>Conduct in-house and customer acceptance testing.</p><p>Ensure systems meet customer specifications and performance requirements.</p><p>Commission and install systems at customer facilities.</p><p>Provide customer training on machine operation, setup, and maintenance.</p><p>Deliver field service and technical support as required.</p><p>Collaborate closely with engineering, controls, and automation teams throughout project execution.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>Experience with machine vision systems in<strong> factory automation and integration environments</strong>.</p><p>Strong knowledge of image processing algorithms.</p><p><strong>Proficiency in C# programming.</strong></p><p><strong>Experience with Cognex Vision Tools.</strong></p><p>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.</p><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p>Experience designing optical and illumination systems.</p><p>Background in automation, robotics, or industrial controls.</p><p>Experience commissioning and supporting automated manufacturing systems.</p><p>Knowledge of machine vision hardware selection and integration.</p><p><strong>Please send your resume to carmen@canadianexecutivesearch.com</strong></p>
