Communications Specialist – 1 Year Contract
Job Description:
- Support and execute internal communication plans aligned with business priorities and initiatives
- Draft, edit, and publish clear, engaging internal communications (e.g., emails, intranet content, presentations, FAQs)
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and approvals to ensure smooth execution of communication initiatives
- Lead low-complexity communication projects while contributing to larger, cross-functional initiatives
- Partner with stakeholders to understand communication needs and deliver targeted, effective messaging
- Manage and maintain content across communication channels (e.g., intranet, SharePoint, newsletters), ensuring consistency in tone, branding, and accessibility
- Analyze communication metrics and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance engagement
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas, leveraging best practices, and optimizing communication approaches
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in Communications or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience creating content for multiple channels and formats
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Understanding of communications metrics and reporting is an asset
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), SharePoint, and internal communication tools
