Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager | Remote

<p>Our client, an established Property & Casualty Insurance Carrier, is seeking an experienced Commercial P&C Underwriting Manager to support its Mid-Atlantic operations. This individual will lead a team of commercial underwriting professionals while helping drive profitable growth, underwriting quality, and strong agency relationships throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background across Commercial lines along with proven leadership experience within a commercial underwriting environment.</p><p><br></p><p>This position offers flexibility for candidates located throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, with preference for those based in Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, or South Carolina.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Lead, coach, and develop a team of commercial underwriting professionals.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and support on complex Commercial P&C accounts.</li><li>Oversee underwriting quality, risk selection, pricing, and overall portfolio performance.</li><li>Partner with underwriting staff to achieve profitable growth and production objectives.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with independent agency partners.</li><li>Work closely with senior leadership on regional underwriting strategy and business initiatives.</li><li>Monitor market conditions and identify opportunities for continued growth.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>7+ years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience.</li><li>Underwriting management/leadership experience required.</li><li>Experience with Commercial Property, Casualty, and Workers’ Compensation business.</li><li>Strong knowledge of the independent agency distribution model.</li><li>Proven ability to coach and develop underwriting professionals.</li><li>Excellent communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.</li><li>Industry designations are a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Salary/Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>$145,000–$170,000+ annual base salary, depending on experience.</li><li>20-30% annual bonus potential.</li><li>Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.</li><li>Employer-sponsored retirement plan.</li></ul>
