August - September 2026 start.</p><p>Faculty/Department: Student Success and Engagement</p><p>Campus/Location: North Campus</p><p>Compensation: A hybrid model designed to support you through the ramp-up period and</p><p>reward growth after. For the first 8 weeks (or until caseload reaches approximately 22</p><p>visits/week, whichever comes first), you will be paid $50/hour for 7 hours per day, 3 days per</p><p>week (approximately $1050/week), providing stable income while you build your caseload and</p><p>help set up the service. After that point, compensation shifts to an earnings-based revenue</p><p>share model, with the majority share to the contractor. Projected earnings once caseload is</p><p>established: up to approximately $1500+/week on a part-time, 3-day schedule, with the</p><p>opportunity to grow earnings as the service grows.</p><p>Reporting to: Associate Director, Clinical Services</p><p>The Opportunity</p><p>Humber’s Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre (SWAC) is launching physiotherapy as a</p><p>new clinical service, and we are looking for the right physiotherapist to build it with us. This is an</p><p>opportunity to establish a practice from the ground up — with a built-in client base of students</p><p>and staff, an established multidisciplinary clinic, and the institutional support of a post-secondary</p><p>community committed to wellbeing.</p><p>The pilot is structured to reward initiative. Your earnings grow as your caseload grows, and a</p><p>successful pilot opens the door to expanding the service, additional days, broader programming,</p><p>and a lasting role in shaping health and wellness services at Humber.</p><p>What you will do</p><p>Reporting to the Associate Director, Clinical Services, the Physiotherapist will work both</p><p>independently and collaboratively with other health professionals to provide assessment and</p><p>treatment to Humber students and staff, while actively growing the physiotherapy service as part</p><p>of our multidisciplinary Clinical Services team.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><p>• Conduct physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized, evidence-informed</p><p>treatment plans.</p><p>• Provide clinical management of musculoskeletal conditions, sports and activity-related</p><p>injuries, postural and ergonomic concerns, chronic pain, and post-surgical rehabilitation.</p><p>• Deliver one-on-one care to a diverse caseload of students and staff, supporting return to</p><p>academics, work, sport, and daily activity.</p><p>• Collaborate with our Doctors, Nurses, Dietitian, and Mental Health team as part of an</p><p>integrated circle of care.</p><p>• Actively build and grow the physiotherapy caseload, contributing to outreach, promotion,</p><p>and awareness of the new service across both campuses.</p><p>• Participate in service development: contribute to clinic workflows, e-billing and insurance</p><p>processes, outcome measurement, and evaluation of the pilot.</p><p>• Design and support health promotion programming focused on injury prevention,</p><p>movement, and physical wellbeing.</p><p>• Participate in initiatives to amplify Humber’s Wellbeing strategy.</p><p>• Foster a supportive environment where students and staff feel seen, heard, and</p><p>validated.</p><p>What you bring to the role</p><p>• Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.</p><p>• Proof of professional liability insurance.</p><p>• Mid-to-senior level clinical experience (minimum five years preferred) in musculoskeletal</p><p>and orthopaedic physiotherapy.</p><p>• An entrepreneurial mindset: experience or demonstrated interest in building a caseload,</p><p>growing a practice, or launching a new service.</p><p>• Experience with private practice operations, including extended health insurance billing</p><p>and electronic medical records.</p><p>• Experience working with young adults and culturally diverse populations, with a</p><p>commitment to equitable access to care using an EDIB (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and</p><p>Belonging) lens.</p><p>• Understanding of the impact of social determinants of health on physical health and</p><p>educational outcomes.</p><p>• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work both</p><p>autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.</p><p>• High level of professional competence maintained through continuing education and</p><p>critical evaluation of professional practice.</p><p>What’s in it for you?</p><p>• The chance to build and shape a brand-new service — your clinical vision, supported by</p><p>an established wellness centre.</p><p>• An earnings model that rewards your initiative, with genuine opportunity to grow the</p><p>clinic and your role if the pilot succeeds.</p><p>• A ready-made community of students and staff, and a multidisciplinary team to</p><p>collaborate with from day one.</p><p><br></p><p>• An opportunity to have an impact with a post-secondary institution poised to do great</p><p>things, supporting youth and young adults in transition.</p><p>• Working with a diverse, committed team of humans who care about each other and our</p><p>students.</p><p>• Situated next to the scenic Humber River and Humber Arboretum — a perfect place for</p><p>walks and wellness breaks.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Application Process</p><p>For more information contact:</p><p>Leslie Furlonge (she/her), Associate Director, Clinical Services</p><p>Leslie.furlonge@humber.ca</p><p>swac@humber.ca</p><p> Wellness and Accessibility Centre</p><p>Humber Polytechnic | 205 Humber College Blvd. Toronto.
