Customer Solutions Lead This opportunity strives to deliver the following outcomes: Customers choose Bayer as their preferred provider for their operation Team members run their local business to benefit customers and Bayer Maximize local business opportunities and customer experience by co-creating short, mid and long-term outcomes with farmers and business partners This is a permanent position, home-based in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec with frequent travel within the Drummondville vicinity.

Responsibilities

  • Jointly own and achieve squad P&L targets, in collaboration with all squad members
  • Plan, prioritize and execute in short-term (90-day cycles), mid-term and long-term cycles
  • Adapt, iterate, regularly reassess, and prioritize tasks to ensure continued progress towards squad outcomes
  • Collaborate and co-create within squad to ensure clarity of accountabilities to maximize customer focus
  • Leveraging digital tools and agronomic expertise position, support, and service the full Bayer portfolio of seed, crop protection and new business models, while also leveraging market intel and data insights to assess and prioritize opportunities
  • Contributing to effective team dynamics as a self-managing squad, via activities such as peer recruitment, selection, and performance feedback
  • Foster an inclusive environment of professionalism and safe working practices ensuring Safety and Compliance requirements are met or exceeded within squad
  • Foster strong relationships with key and influential growers and new potential customers to drive market share and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Enabled by a strong understanding of the complete portfolio and relevant programs, collaborate within the squad to grow and protect sales of BCS products and provide product and support services
  • Collaborate within the squad to prioritize spend of discretionary program funds to maximize discretionary program impact Develop targeted strategies to drive sales across the full Bayer portfolio, including seed treatment sales with retails and commercial seed treaters

Requirements

  • Fluent in French
  • BSc in Agriculture or related discipline with a minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Excellent understanding of local crop production, agronomy and familiarity of the Bayer portfolio of seed, crop protection and digital solutions
  • Proficient using Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Flexible mindset and ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • Strong interpersonal, team and French communication skills – presentation, written, verbal and listening, to maximize results with customers and internal stakeholders​. Ability to communicate in English is an asset as well.
  • Understands key customer needs to develop tailored solutions
  • Experience using digital tools to manage, interpret and leverage data
  • Excellent problem solving through analytical thinking in complex situations with minimal guidance
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles safely
  • Ability to effectively supervise and coach summer students

  • CCA, CCSC and /or PAg (RTAg) designation
