As part of the Misericordia Health Centre, our pharmacy sits alongside services such as the EyeCare Centre of Excellence, the Minor Injuries and Illnesses Clinic, and other on‐site healthcare teams. This creates real opportunities to build professional relationships, support interdisciplinary care, and practice pharmacy in a way that feels connected and purposeful. If you're interested in practicing pharmacy in a setting that prioritizes collaboration, modern systems, and community impact, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Pharmacist, you will:

  • Oversee prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal & companyprocedural requirements
  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately in a timely manner
  • Adhere to controlled drugs and substances laws
  • Respectfully collaborate with prescribers and allied healthcare members to provide timely resolutions to requests and concerns
  • Identify and fill-in gaps within the healthcare system by maximizing existing processes
  • Provide clinical & practical medication counselling and education
  • Effectively navigate and prioritize daily workflow in a team environment
  • Exercise critical thinking, compassion and problem-solving skills in all areas of decision-making
  • Understand and maintain pharmacy inventory
  • Open and close the pharmacy
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation as necessary for workflow and legal requirements
  • Administer various types of injections (which includes but is not limited to vaccines & long-acting psychiatric injections)
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean & organized work environment
  • Contribute to a positive, friendly and respectful working environment
  • Foster a growth mindset for self and the team

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy program from a recognized institution
  • Licensed through the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba as a practicing Pharmacist and is in good standing
  • Certification to administer drugs and vaccines by injection
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with effective problem-solving skills and a high degree of initiative
  • Certification via an accredited program approved by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba to prescribe medications for self-limiting conditions (ie. minor ailments, smoking cessation) and authorization to prescribe for Uncomplicated Cystitis is considered an asset
  • An interest in innovative pharmacy practice
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions in a thorough, but timely manner.
  • 2 years of Pharmacist experience in community setting considered an asset but not required
  • Experience with Kroll pharmacy software considered an asset
  • Oral and written fluency in English (also in French an asset)
