Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Full-Time Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop strong communication and sales skills while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are highly valued. The cashier will be responsible for managing POS systems, assisting customers with product inquiries, and supporting store operations to ensure smooth daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
  • Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
  • Assist customers with product information, demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are properly stocked
  • Handle cash, process payments, and give correct change efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members using phone etiquette and clear communication skills
  • Manage time effectively to keep checkout lines moving during busy periods
  • Support store operations by organizing merchandise, restocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness
  • Demonstrate technical sales skills by explaining product features and benefits when needed
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in cashiering, retail sales, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
  • Familiarity with POS systems and retail technology is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to perform product demos and upsell products confidently
  • Professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and store presentation
Pay: $37.14-$39.22 per hour
