About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building modern artificial intelligence. People create examples, test model behavior, compare generated responses, and explain what makes an output accurate, useful, and aligned with real-world needs.

As a business document evaluator, you will bring practical workplace judgment to language-model interactions. Your assessments can help models produce stronger spreadsheets, presentations, reports, proposals, and other professional deliverables.

  • Work directly with cutting-edge language-model workflows
  • Apply professional judgment to AI-generated business content
  • Contribute feedback that supports model improvement

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Business Document AI Evaluation Expert to create challenging business scenarios and assess model-generated work. You will work with advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word tasks representing demanding professional office deliverables and Fortune 500 business environments.

The work spans strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance, HR, and data-driven reporting. You will compare multiple AI responses and determine whether they are accurate, useful, effective, and aligned with practical business needs.

  • Design realistic business tasks and scenarios
  • Evaluate complex spreadsheets, executive presentations, written reports, strategic proposals, and financial models
  • Conduct prompt-driven interactions with language models
  • Assess quality, accuracy, usefulness, and business alignment

What You'll Do

You will document clear findings and provide domain-informed feedback that explains why an AI-generated solution succeeds or falls short. The role combines business expertise, careful evaluation, and strong written communication.

  • Compare multiple AI-generated responses
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement
  • Write detailed assessments with well-supported rationale
  • Provide actionable recommendations for model improvement
  • Develop cross-functional examples across business functions
  • Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators

Requirements

This opportunity is classified as entry level within AI training, but it requires substantial professional business experience. You should be comfortable creating nuanced scenarios and judging work against the standards expected in demanding business settings.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • At least three years of hands-on experience in a business setting
  • Experience supporting or leading work in strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance, or HR
  • Ability to design realistic professional scenarios
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated solutions for quality, accuracy, usefulness, and business alignment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain judgments and recommendations clearly

Helpful Background

Experience in finance, healthcare, consulting, technology, retail, or another business function is valuable, especially experience in a Fortune 500 environment. Familiarity with conversational language-model workflows or prompt engineering may help you create more effective challenges, but it is not required.

  • Business experience in a specialized or cross-functional environment
  • Background creating complex analyses, reports, models, or presentations
