We are hiring a Brake Press Operator - NIGHT SHIFT in Woodbridge, ON

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Brake Press Operator is responsible for producing metal parts that meet customer specifications for quality and output, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Operate brake press machines to bend parts according to drawings and specifications
  • Program and set up machines to meet production and quality requirements
  • Perform first-off inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Complete required documentation and data entry accurately
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in line with 5S methodology
  • Communicate effectively with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or process concerns to supervisors
  • Ensure all tasks are completed within assigned timelines
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Experience in metal fabrication is considered an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as tape measures and vernier calipers
  • Knowledge of brake press tooling setup and changeover
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
WORK AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 100% plant floor role requiring PPE
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to noise, temperature variations, and frequent interruptions
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in varying temperatures
  • Overtime may be required
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • $22 per hour + $0.75 per hour as shift premium
SCHEDULE:
  • Full-Time : Shift time – 10 PM – 6 AM - NIGHT SHIFT
