Position Overview:

Reporting to the Loss Prevention Country Manager, the Bilingual Loss Prevention Overnight Investigator plays a key role in the UNIQLO business. Based in our Toronto or Montreal Store Support Centre, this position is responsible for monitoring stores overnight, completing nightly audits, and handling a variety of assigned tasks.

The ideal candidate brings excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and thrives when balancing multiple priorities. You’ll be ready to respond to different incidents that can arise during the overnight shift, using company-provided technology to resolve situations remotely and ensure our stores remain secure and well-managed throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regular remote monitoring of all stores on overnight shifts for alarm activity, and response to alarms as dictated by the incident—including Law Enforcement contact if necessary.
  • Respond to overnight incidents and follow up with internal Uniqlo SSC and Store teams as situations arise.
  • Remotely monitor Uniqlo locations for maintenance and emergency repairs, providing remote access and assistance when needed.
  • Oversee the Genetec Platform and daily health and performance of CCTV, access control, burglar alarms, and RFID technology.
  • Complete audits as assigned on overnight shifts.
  • Oversee remote intrusion protection and monitoring of facilities for security and safety.
  • Support investigations and other necessary functions at the direction of the supervisor.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail Loss Prevention, analysis, or call center roles, with a strong security and investigations background in a remote capacity.
  • Ability to self-manage and stay responsive while working overnight shifts.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian federal, provincial, and local laws related to Loss Prevention and Security.
  • Proficiency with Loss Prevention technology, including CCTV, EAS, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems.
  • Experience conducting internal investigations using exception reporting and compliance auditing systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to respond to and follow up on overnight incidents, including contact with external partners such as law enforcement.
  • Excellent analytical and project management abilities, with a proven track record as a strategic thinker.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, strong business acumen, and ethical standards.
  • Proficient with MS-Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Microsoft platform tools (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Capable of multitasking, efficiently managing time, and adapting to shifting business priorities without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently in a remote environment with minimal direct supervision.
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including overnight and weekend shifts, as required by the department and company.
  • Able to work both in-office and remotely; minimum three days per week in office required.
  • Ability to both speak and write in French is required due to regular contact with Law Enforcement in French-speaking areas.
  • Regular travel within the assigned location is required; occasional additional travel may be necessary based on business needs.

Annual Salary: $72,000 - $75,600 CAD

The salary range is based on several factors, including but not limited to overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and the position location.
