Better at Home Coordinator

Yellowhead Community Services Society is a not for profit, integrated health/social service agency with offices located in Clearwater, Barriere, Merritt, Lillooet, and Ashcroft. We are currently seeking a Coordinator for Better at Home Program to join our team in the communities of Barriere and Clearwater. Main office will be in Clearwater with travel to/from Barriere required.

Key Duties:

  • Completing intake assessments and annual monitoring of client information
  • Direct support of seniors as needed
  • Participate in the hiring and orientation of new staff and volunteers
  • Scheduling of staff to ensure seniors are receiving appropriate services
  • Liaise with other community professionals in the coordination of services
  • Coordinate quarterly staff meetings
  • Data base entry for service tracking and quarterly reporting to Funder

Hour of Work:

Shifts will typically take place between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday, but may include evenings and weekends depending on program needs. This is a regular, part-time position for 30 hours per week. Additional hours may be offered in conjunction with this position.

Qualifications:

Degree/diploma/certificates in relevant field is preferred, however, individuals with related experience and/or a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply and will be considered. Any offers of employment will be subject to a clean criminal record check. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract. Access to a reliable vehicle is required. Current first aid would be an asset.

Compensation:

Rate of pay for this position is dependent on a combination of education and/or experience and ranges from $27.13 to $31.63 per hour. A competitive benefits package is available.
