Reporting to the Manager, Drawing Office, you will service the integration department by producing and providing them with connection plans, hanging systems and other types of plans using the AutoCAD program.

Your day will look like this:

  • Produce the plans and documents required by the project managers and representatives

  • Based on the plans and needs of the consultant or client, produce the drawings required for the installation in accordance with Solotech standards

  • Produce single-line drawings, block diagrams, elevations of equipment cabinets, patch details, cable numbering, custom-made parts, positioning of elements in a space, all mainly in 2D and occasionally in 3D

  • Work in close collaboration with the project managers to know the specific needs of each customer

  • Prepare manufacturing plans, specifications and production guidelines, and other items for custom manufacturing

  • Produce drawings in accordance with Solotech and industry standards and requirements

  • Carry out administrative management of drafts plans

  • Suggest the best ways to carry out plans

Your profil

e:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting, design support, or a similar technical role.

  • Strong understanding of drafting standards and documentation best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives.

  • Experience supporting and developing CAD standards and drawing quality control.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to coach and support team members in drafting methodologies.

  • Solotech provides a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position in accordance with Ontario pay transparency requirements. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, location, experience, training, certifications, and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined at the time of hire. A reasonable estimate of the current annual wage range is $52,250 to $80,200.
