Auto Claims Expert / Claims Advisor, Auto

Job Description:

  • Assess and research vehicle values using various methods
  • Review and analyze documents from internal and external sources related to the vehicle evaluation process
  • Comply with and maintain departmental standards and/or KPIs
  • Provide superior customer service to policyholders and ensure prompt and fair claim settlements
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Valid AMF license as a claims expert
  • 3 years of auto insurance experience and/or 2 years of total-loss experience considered an asset
  • Comfortable with insurance policy wordings
  • Demonstrated experience in insurance and a solid understanding of the discipline
  • Good understanding of indemnity conventions and claims settlement principles
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong team orientation, good negotiation skills, and ability to make decisions
  • Bilingual (French and English) — both spoken and written
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Familiarity with automotive terminology, the vehicle market, and auto estimates
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
  • Total-loss experience
