Assistant General Counsel, Employment

Oversee all aspects of employment-related legal matters for the organization, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, and employee relations. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Conduct thorough research and analysis on employment laws and regulations to provide guidance and recommendations to senior leadership. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure consistent and fair application of policies and procedures related to employment law. Provide legal counsel and support to HR on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Review and negotiate employment-related contracts, such as severance agreements and non-compete agreements. Develop and deliver training programs for employees and managers on relevant employment laws and regulations. Monitor and stay up-to-date on changes in employment laws and regulations, and proactively advise management on potential impacts to the organization. Represent the organization in legal proceedings related to employment matters, including litigation and administrative hearings. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and provide strategic guidance on employment-related legal issues. Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization by promoting fair and inclusive practices and policies. Stay abreast of industry best practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement in employment practices. Manage relationships with external legal counsel and vendors, and oversee their work related to employment matters. Maintain accurate and organized records of all employment-related legal matters.
