Area Manager II, YYZ7

Amazon's fulfillment network is one of the most complex logistics operations in the world, and at the heart of it are the Area Managers who keep things running. At the YYZ7 fulfillment centre in Bolton, Ontario, Amazon is hiring an Area Manager II to lead a team of up to 80 associates and drive meaningful operational improvements across a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for your team's safety, quality, productivity, and attendance on shift while also thinking strategically about department-level goals. You'll partner cross-functionally with HR, Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and Quality Assurance to solve problems, implement scalable process improvements, and ultimately ensure that millions of customer orders are delivered on time to the right place.

About the Role: Area Manager II

As an Area Manager II, you'll lead daily operations within Amazon's three-part fulfillment workflow: first mile (product storage and order readiness), middle mile (order transportation to your area), and last mile (delivery to the customer's door). You'll conduct planning sessions with your team, coach associates through operational challenges, and develop their leadership capabilities along the way.

A big part of this role involves data-driven decision-making. You'll diagnose root causes of performance gaps using advanced analytics, facilitate alignment meetings with senior leadership on department goals, and balance competing priorities — all while keeping safety and customer experience at the forefront. The physical demands of the role are real as well: you'll be on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift, working in a variable-temperature environment that may include outdoor loading areas.

Benefits and Salary

The base salary for this Area Manager II role ranges from $75,000 to $105,000 CAD annually, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and access to other health and well-being resources.
