Role Description

The Appointment Setter Intern is a remote internship focused on supporting the sales and client acquisition process by identifying prospective clients, initiating contact and scheduling qualified appointments.

Day-to-day responsibilities include making outbound calls, engaging with prospective clients, qualifying leads using simple criteria and scheduling appointments based on availability.

The intern will also maintain accurate prospect records, track lead interactions, conduct follow-ups and help ensure scheduled appointments are confirmed and attended.

This is a 3-month, results-focused internship designed to provide practical experience in sales, lead generation, customer communication and appointment setting.

Duration: 3 months

Stipend: Paid

Work Arrangement: Remote

There is potential for a full-time opportunity following the internship based on performance, consistency, initiative and results.

Responsibilities
  • Make outbound calls to prospective clients.
  • Contact leads through approved communication channels, including WhatsApp.
  • Introduce prospective clients to available insurance and financial planning services.
  • Qualify prospects based on established criteria.
  • Schedule appointments with qualified prospects.
  • Confirm and follow up on scheduled appointments.
  • Reschedule appointments when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate prospect and appointment records.
  • Track calls, conversations, follow-ups and outcomes.
  • Update CRM, spreadsheets or other tracking systems.
  • Meet agreed daily and weekly activity targets.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with all prospects and clients.
  • Provide feedback on common questions, objections and prospect responses.
  • Work closely with the sales representative to ensure a smooth handover of qualified appointments.
Qualifications
  • Ability to manage appointment setting and scheduling efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong lead generation and prospecting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Customer-service mindset with the ability to build rapport and create a positive experience.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with new people.

  • Ability to manage time, priorities and follow-ups effectively.
  • Comfortable working remotely with reliable internet access.
  • Basic proficiency with email, spreadsheets, WhatsApp and CRM or customer-management tools.
  • Willingness to learn about insurance and financial services.
  • Professional, ethical and respectful approach to client interactions.
  • Previous sales, customer service or call-centre experience is an advantage but not required.
