Join Our Team as an Apartment Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper

Location: Huntsville, Alabama

Are you a hands-on person who enjoys fixing things, keeping properties looking great, and making sure residents have a safe and comfortable place to call home? We’re looking for dependable Apartment Maintenance Technicians and Groundskeepers to join our team!

Whether you’re experienced in apartment maintenance or have a strong background in general repairs and property upkeep, we want to hear from you. EPA/HVAC certification is not required for this position!

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper, you may be responsible for:

  • Make-Ready/Turns: Help prepare apartments for new residents and complete necessary repairs between move-outs and move-ins.
  • General Maintenance: Handle day-to-day maintenance requests and repairs throughout the property.
  • Plumbing: Address basic plumbing issues such as clogged drains, running toilets, leaks, faucets, and fixtures.
  • Electrical: Complete basic electrical repairs involving outlets, switches, lighting, and fixtures.
  • Appliance Repairs: Troubleshoot and assist with repairs to common apartment appliances.
  • Drywall Repairs: Patch holes, repair damaged walls, and prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Painting: Complete touch-ups and apartment painting to keep units looking fresh and move-in ready.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Help identify and address maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
  • Groundskeeping: Maintain the property's exterior, including lawns, landscaping, sidewalks, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Trash & Clean-Up: Help keep the property clean, safe, and presentable for residents and guests.
  • Resident Work Orders: Respond to maintenance requests professionally and provide friendly customer service.

What You’ll Need

  • Previous maintenance, apartment maintenance, construction, landscaping, or groundskeeping experience is a plus
  • EPA/HVAC certification is NOT required
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and general repairs preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors when needed
  • Reliable transportation
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
