<p>Location: REMOTE / Canada/US, N/A<br/>This job allows you to work remotely.</p><p>Role Overview & Summary<br/>Leads a small team of developers while remaining deeply hands-on with coding, troubleshooting, and optimization. Responsible for building enterprise-grade Amazon Lex bots, designing high-performing voice and chat conversational experiences, and integrating Lex seamlessly with Amazon Connect and AWS serverless services.<br/><br/>Core Responsibilities<br/>Build enterprise-grade Amazon Lex bots from requirements through production while remaining hands-on.<br/><br/>Design high-performing voice and chat conversational experiences.<br/><br/>Integrate Lex seamlessly with Amazon Connect and AWS serverless services.<br/><br/>Analyze production conversations to improve intent recognition and customer experience.<br/><br/>Create scalable intent models, slot types, prompts, and dialog management.<br/><br/>Optimize NLU performance through continuous tuning based on production traffic.<br/><br/>Implement multilingual conversational experiences (English/French preferred).<br/><br/>Design robust fallback, clarification, interruption, and error-handling strategies.</p><p>Must Have Skills:<br/><br/>6–10 years of software development experience.<br/><br/>3+ years of hands-on Amazon Lex V2 development.<br/><br/>3+ years of Amazon Connect integration experience.<br/><br/>Experience with AWS serverless architectures.<br/><br/>AWS Certification (Associate or Professional) is preferred.<br/><br/>Mandatory Lex Technical Skills: Amazon Lex V2, Intent and slot modeling, Custom slot types, Dialog management, Session attributes, Lambda code hooks, Prompt variations, DTMF integration, Confidence score tuning, and Multilingual bot development.<br/><br/>Mandatory AWS Development Skills: AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, API Gateway, Amazon Bedrock (preferred), and Amazon Connect.<br/><br/>Preferred AI Knowledge: Intent Classification, Entity Recognition, Prompt Engineering, Conversational Design, NLP/NLU concepts, Amazon Bedrock, and Generative AI fundamentals.</p>
