Amazon Accounting Specialist/Amazon Accountant (ZR-714)

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist – Amazon Reconciliation with a strong general accounting background and hands-on experience reconciling Amazon Seller Central transactions.

This role will primarily be responsible for ensuring that Amazon sales, settlements, fees, refunds, reimbursements, inventory-related transactions, and bank deposits are accurately reconciled with our accounting records. The successful candidate will also support day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Amazon Accounting & Reconciliation

  • Perform regular reconciliation of Amazon Seller Central accounts and settlement reports.
  • Reconcile Amazon settlements against bank deposits and accounting records.
  • Reconcile Amazon sales, refunds, returns, fees, commissions, and other marketplace deductions.
  • Review and reconcile Amazon FBA-related transactions.
  • Track Amazon reimbursements, adjustments, chargebacks, and other account activity.
  • Identify discrepancies between Amazon reports, bank deposits, and accounting system records.
  • Investigate unreconciled or missing transactions and work to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure Amazon marketplace transactions are properly categorized and recorded in the accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with reconciliation across multiple Amazon accounts/brands/marketplaces as required.
  • Monitor Amazon settlement activity and proactively flag unusual deductions, missing reimbursements, or accounting discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reconciliation process so Amazon balances remain current rather than accumulating unresolved items.

General Accounting Responsibilities

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Record and categorize accounting transactions accurately.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
  • Review vendor bills, payments, expenses, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries when required and approved by the Accounting Lead.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation.
  • Help identify accounting discrepancies and correct them in coordination with the Senior Accounting Lead.
  • Support management with accounting reports and financial data when requested.
  • Maintain organized electronic accounting records and supporting documents.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Approximately 2–4 years of professional accounting/bookkeeping experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central accounting and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with Amazon settlement reports and marketplace transactions.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including:
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Bank Reconciliation
    • Journal Entries
    • Accruals
    • Month-End Closing
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, lookups, PivotTables, and reconciliation worksheets.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or similar systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Ability to work independently while reporting to and coordinating with the Senior Accounting Lead.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

The following experience is preferred but not mandatory:

  • Accounting experience with an e-commerce company or Amazon seller.
  • Experience handling accounting for multiple Amazon Seller Central accounts.
  • Familiarity with Amazon FBA transactions and inventory accounting.
  • Experience with Amazon accounting/reconciliation tools such as A2X, Link My Books, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience working remotely with U.S.-based companies.
  • Understanding of U.S. accounting/bookkeeping practices.
  • Experience working with high-volume e-commerce transactions.
