Our team works collaboratively across psychology, psychotherapy, education, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and other allied health disciplines to deliver individualized, patient-centred care.Due to increasing demand across Ontario, we are seeking an experienced ADHD Coach & Executive Function Therapist to join our virtual clinical team and support children, adolescents, and youth experiencing ADHD and executive functioning challenges.
Position Summary The ADHD Coach & Executive Function Therapist provides individualized virtual ADHD coaching and therapeutic intervention for children, adolescents, and youth (ages 6–18) with ADHD and executive functioning difficulties.
Working collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals, the successful candidate will help patients develop practical skills to improve organization, planning, emotional regulation, time management, academic success, independence, and overall daily functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized virtual ADHD coaching and executive function intervention.
- Develop personalized, strengths-based intervention plans tailored to each patient's goals.
- Support executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, prioritization, working memory, task initiation, emotional regulation, study skills, self-monitoring, and independent living skills.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and caregivers regarding ADHD and executive functioning.
- Coach parents and caregivers in implementing practical strategies at home.
- Collaborate with psychologists, psychotherapists, physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, educators, schools, and other healthcare professionals, where appropriate.
- Prepare, complete, and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including clinical summaries, progress notes, and other required records, in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and evidence-informed practice in accordance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and Toriven Health policies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and contribute to coordinated patient care, where appropriate.
- Registered Psychologists (C.Psych.), Psychological Associates, Registered Psychotherapists (RP), Registered Social Workers (RSW), Occupational Therapists (OT), Certified ADHD Coaches, and other regulated healthcare or education professionals with appropriate training and experience providing ADHD coaching and executive function intervention are encouraged to apply.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience working directly with children, adolescents, and youth (ages 6–18) in clinical, educational, behavioural, rehabilitation, or coaching settings.
- Demonstrated experience providing ADHD coaching, executive function intervention, therapeutic support, or skills-based intervention for children and adolescents with ADHD and related neurodevelopmental concerns.
- Experience supporting executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, time management, task initiation, working memory, emotional regulation, study skills, self-monitoring, and independent living skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with parents, caregivers, schools, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Eligible to independently provide services in Ontario under the appropriate professional registration, certification, or recognized coaching credential, as applicable to the applicant's scope of practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, documentation, organizational, and virtual service delivery skills.
- Professional liability insurance appropriate to the applicant's scope of practice.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check.
