They have an amazing family-oriented culture focused on work-life balance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>They are looking to fill a new hands-on Manager role to help provide professional accounting services to a variety of clients, primarily owner-operated and NPOs. You will also be providing leadership and management to the staff.</p><p><br></p><p>This role is ideal for someone who is looking to take the next step in his/her accounting career who loves working with owner-managed businesses and NPOs.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ</strong></p><p>This role is available REMOTE but preference is for HYBRID (2 days per week).</p><p><strong><em>YOU MUST LIVE IN ONTARIO.</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>YOU MUST HAVE A VALID ONTARIO CPA LICENSE. </em>(ACCA is not accepted)</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Efficiently prepare year-end engagements and tax returns for your clients in a variety of industries.</li><li>Perform audits, prepare working papers and financial statements per regulatory standards.</li><li>Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions.</li><li>Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.</li><li>Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.</li><li>Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>You are a licensed CPA IN ONTARIO (ACCA, CPA US, etc. does not count).</li><li>You have 5+ years of assurance experience working for a CANADIAN public accounting firm, supporting private owner-managed businesses and NPOs.</li><li>Working knowledge of agricultural & real estate and development clients/industry would be an asset.</li><li>You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.</li><li>You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Deep personal and professional accountability.</li><li>Passion for excellence.</li><li>Ability to understand client’s industry, challenges, and opportunities.</li><li>Focus on effective service delivery to clients.</li><li>Participation in an inclusive & engaging work environment.</li><li>Adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace.</li><li>Commitment to learning & professional development.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Experience in the non-profit industry.</li><li>Knowledge of agricultural & real estate and development clients/industry.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Pay range and compensation package</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Salary up to $120k</li><li>Up to 10% annual bonus</li><li>Paid CPA and PD fees</li><li>Commission on new client acquisitions</li><li>Flexible hours</li><li>Employee health benefits plan</li><li>3% RRSP matching</li><li>Fridays off in July & August*</li><li>Generous paid time off (up to 4 weeks)</li></ul><p><br></p><p>*Please note that candidates must be flexible to work overtime during peak business periods, with overtime compensated as Fridays off during July and August.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Statement</strong></p><p>This role is available to candidates who are legally authorized to work in Canada.</p><p>AI may be used as part of the hiring process.</p>
