5 Ton Truck Driver/Forklift Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled part time Forklift Operator/5 ton driver to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move materials and products efficiently while ensuring safety and accuracy. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service, as you will be interacting with team members and potentially clients.
Duties
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Ensure the safe handling of heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking the movement of goods.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts/truck to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval of products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the job.
- Previous experience in customer service is a plus, enhancing interactions with clients.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
- A valid forklift certification is much needed (training may also be provided); commercial driving experience is needed, as well as air brakes. Pay: $30.00 per hour
