Join our dynamic team as a 5 Ton Truck Driver/Swamper specializing in appliance delivery! As a vital link between our warehouse and customers’ homes, you'll be responsible for transporting large appliances, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a smooth delivery process. Duties

  • Safely operate a 5-ton truck to deliver appliances to residential and commercial locations
  • Load and unload appliances using appropriate moving techniques and equipment such as dollies and forklifts when necessary
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in excellent condition
  • Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and provide friendly service
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
  • Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing stock, and preparing goods for delivery
  • Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents during shifts

Experience

  • Proven experience driving commercial trucks or similar heavy vehicles, preferably with a focus on appliance or freight delivery
  • Strong moving skills with the ability to handle heavy appliances safely and efficiently
  • Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable but not compulsory
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
  • Prior warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with inventory handling and safety procedures
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent license required for operating a 5-ton truck
