The shift will be on NIGHTS and rotation will be 9 days on and 5 days off, 12 hours a day, with overtime included. This is a short term maintenance position starting asap until October, 2026<br><br><em><strong>Travel Allowance and Living Out Allowance are available to those that are non locals to Lloydminster, AB<br><br></strong></em><strong>Overview Of Crane<br><br></strong>The Crane Operator (Journeyperson) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes, including a <strong>100-ton Rough Terrain (RT) crane</strong>, to support maintenance, turnaround, and construction activities at the Cenovus Lloydminster Refinery. This role plays a critical part in executing lifts in a heavy industrial environment while adhering to strict safety and operational standards.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Operate cranes, specifically including a 100T Rough Terrain (AT) crane, to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and structural components </li><li>Perform critical lifts in accordance with engineered lift plans and site procedures </li><li>Conduct pre-operational inspections, equipment checks, and routine maintenance </li><li>Interpret load charts, lift plans, and rigging configurations </li><li>Work closely with riggers, signalers, and supervision to ensure safe lift execution </li><li>Maintain clear communication using hand signals and/or radio </li><li>Ensure compliance with Cenovus safety standards, site policies, and OH&S regulations </li><li>Assist with general site activities when crane operations are not required </li><li>Report hazards, near misses, and incidents as per site protocols </li><li>Use other machinery like skid steers when needed</li><li>Help ironworkers, pipefitters, and maintenance crews during downtime or when lifts aren’t required</li><li>Performing critical lifts for maintenance and repairs</li><li>Working in tight, congested plant areas (pipes, structures, vessels everywhere)</li><li>Communicating with riggers / signalers (hand signals, radios), supervisors and other trades</li><li>Doing pre-lift planning (load weight, radius, hazards)</li><li>Completing equipment inspections before each shift<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Journeyperson Crane Operator certification (Red Seal preferred) </li><li>Proven experience operating Rough Terrain cranes (100T RT experience required or strongly preferred) </li><li>Experience with critical lifts and shutdown/turnaround work </li><li>Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (clean abstract may be required) </li><li>Must successfully complete site-specific orientation and safety training </li><li>CSO or Common Safety Orientation </li><li>CSTS- 2020 </li><li>Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive </li><li>Valid Full Class 5 Driver’s License - No restrictions </li><li>3 Year’s Driver’s Abstract </li><li>Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test <br><br></li></ul><strong>COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY!<br><br></strong>At Jardeg, we power the workforce behind Graham and its trusted workforce partners, recruiting skilled trades and construction professionals who help deliver complex projects across Canada.
